The Month of March

I finally completed a project I'd been wishing to do for 4+ years! A little crayon roll for Ella, to keep in the church bag. I like to print out coloring pages from past issues of the Friend magazine for the kids to color.
Heavy snow fall the first week of March! It was a lot of work for Daddy to shovel off the drive-way!
Ella's artwork on the whiteboard
Ella and her new soccer ball. Following in Daddy's footsteps, we signed her up for a team this spring. She loves getting out there and playing!
Kids excited about their homemade juice popsicles
Mommy's recent exciting find! A shower curtain for the master bathroom and a bedspread for the master bed. Got such a great price for them at TJmaxx!!! Hoooray! I just LOVE the colors and patterns! To  put it in a little bit of perspective, we purchased two other bedspreads and returned them over the span of the past few months. So I was just tickled pink to find one I really loved and that Brent liked too. Ah!

Ella on her way to first soccer practice on March 11th. Her "Coach Steve" is so perfect with this age, very patient and makes it fun. There are 8 kids on her team, all 4 years old. Daddy is helping coach too and Ella looks forward to each practice on Tuesdays and Saturdays. She just dislikes the fact that a few of the boys can run faster than her!

Ella and her good friend, Addie. We were so happy to get them on the same team. Our city had 80 kids signed up to play this spring!

Ella playing the the backyard, in her "store" where she sells mud cakes!
Ella in her jammies one night. She is showing how well she brushed her teeth, I think...
Saturday morning, March 15th, playing outside in the front yard and making an obstacle course for Ben's trains to drive over. This was the weekend Daddy was gone on business to Chicago... what a long 5 days that was! I was SOOO happy when he returned and was around to help out with the kids in the evenings again! Morning sickness and being the only parent around was a trying thing for me. Lots of prayers and trying to be extra patient with myself and we made it through!
Ben playing trains, of course!
Ella woke on St. Patricks Day and wondered where her festive clothes were! She suggested we could go to the store and buy green "leaf" (ie clover) socks, shirt, pants and shoes! I decided we could make do with a little green felt and needle and thread. :-D
Ella had her cute friend over, Zoe. They had a great time and put together some little leprechauns too that mommy got pre-cut while they happily played.

Ben and Ella being silly - typical!
Ben coloring his airplane that Grandpa Gordon sent. It was a wood kit of pieces we glued together. Yes, Ben did really help Mommy glue it together. He really has had fun playing with it!

And here is Ella painting her car that Grandpa Gordon sent.
Mimi (Brent's mom) came to visit us for a week the last part of the month. Oh boy! The kids were so happy to play with her! We had a lot of fun things to do, but only got out a few times due to weather and I felt yucky with some random dizzy spells. But we still had a great time around the house.
Butterflies that Mimi and Ella made one afternoon while Mommy and Ben took our naps.

Having fun with Mimi :-)
