Ella playing in the backyard.... yea for a fenced backyard! Can't wait for summertime!
We celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary back in December!
Ben and Ella playing parts of Joseph and Mary for our little Christmas play while Daddy read from Luke 2. And yes, that is Mr. Potato Head wrapped up as baby Jesus; don't judge, it's all we could find!
Ben on our large deck out back... we are excited for the prospect of finally setting up the barbecue grill Brent's boss gave us for a wedding present 5 years ago! I have a special grilled corn on the cob recipe I'm just saving for the day!
The playroom downstairs. Lots of space for the kids to run and even ride bikes. Usually a good portion of the room becomes Ben's train zone each day, with train tracks and trains everywhere, he plays for hours! He has his trains talk to each other and is happy just doing his thing.
Ben and Ella dancing one evening in the living room. Ella enjoying her new skirt mommy finally got around to sewing together!
Play-dough time!
Painting mommy & daddy's tub with shaving cream dyed with food coloring. It washes right off the walls pretty well and kept them busy for an hour!
And this would be our infamous washing machine that caused mommy lots of grief for weeks! Ever since we moved in, it wouldn't fill with hot water. I tried a new hose, that didn't work. Thanks to help from my Brother in Law, Brandon, and research on YouTube, I felt pretty confident the problem was a broken water inlet valve. I located and purchased the replacement part, and one day began taking the whole washer apart. Short story, the barrel connector on the electrical part must have gotten bumped in the move and slipped most of the way off. Pushed it back on, put it back together and the hot water worked! All I can say is, I'm my Father's daughter. I enjoy fixing things. And I'm so glad washing machine and I are friends again and we have clean clothes!!! I couldn't have done the repair though without a real answer to prayer on what to do once I got in there. So thankful the Lord cares about the little things that mean a lot to us!
These are some good friends of ours, Owen and Addie. We met them at church and were so excited to find they are the same ages as Ben and Ella. We play with them every week and love it! Their mom, Emily, is pretty awesome and fun to hang out with too. :-)
Our other buddy, Eric who came to play recently. He and Ella played with playdough for over an hour!
The kids getting ready to make apple pie with Mommy! They had a blast with this peeler!
Ella took to sledding down our front yard hill like a natural. Ben.... well, you can see it written on his face how he feels about the whole matter. Less than 10 minutes and he was begging to go back inside and play trains. He is so predictable that way. Hahaa
