38 Weeks along

Here's baby belly... 38 weeks today. Yes, this is how I look by night-time. There is not much else in my jammies collection that I fit into. Heehe Looking forward to meeting this little baby girl sometime soon! I've been having light, irregular contractions off and on for the past two weeks, so that is driving me a little crazy, but oh well. Super excited for whenever labor really starts and I can put into use all the tools I learned in my birthing class to meet my goal of a natural vbac.

Ella is loving Preschool. Her teachers, Ms. Terri and Ms. Rhonda are so wonderful and she comes home every day bubbling over with excitement to tell us all about what she did that day.
An art project she did the first week of Preschool. She loves that she gets to be in a class with 3 friends from church.
Next up... Ben turned 3 years old on Sept 5th! Can't believe how the years have flown by as this boy has grown up. We all love his tender heart, his willingness to be a helper and that he is happy to give snuggles anytime. He was so thrilled to get "Victor" the train and carried the new engine around all day long.
When Ben woke in the morning and came out to see green streamers and balloons, he looked surprised and inquired, "what's this all about??" Funny kiddo!
We had a little family birthday celebration after dinner and ate cupcakes. He went to blow out his candle, and after doing so, Daddy offered to let him lick the frosting off the candle... that's when disaster struck! He took a very large bite right out of the candle! Mommy hastily called for the chunk of wax to be extricated from his mouth and poor birthday boy began wailing inconsolably! Ooops! Turns out he thought that candle was a cookie. Daddy was able to soothe him on the couch after a while, and he returned to eat his frosting... er, uh, cupcake. ;-)
The end of the evening concluded with playing in the water and the little slip N' slide. Ben didn't  actually go down it much, more so Ella and the neighbor boys who came over to join in on the fun. Ben just loves the sprinklers and had a great time! What a fun boy he is!
Lastly, one of the little projects I've been up to. It's a art display of sorts. Really, just some strips of wood I bought from Lowes, painted pink for Ella, and teal for Ben. I used my glue gun to attach mini clothes pins and put them up on the wall. Now the kids have a special place (other than the kitchen fridge) to keep their art work and rotate through. Ella loves it and often some of her work ends up on Ben's board. Kinda fun and helps cheer up their room.

Wow girlie - love the bump. Is she higher then the others at this stage...she just seems so high up. Also, love the art - those boards are such a good idea.

You look great Lisa! It was fun to see what you guys are up to. I love Ben's "What's this all about?" comment. Reminds me of something his dad would have said when he was little. :) Hang in there! We sure love and miss you guys.
