We saved these plants (a squash, bell pepper, watermelon, cucumber, strawberry and cherry tomato) from a sadder fate this week. Bought them on clearance from the garden store. We'll see how they do on the deck. It's a convenient spot for them, easy to water for a tired, pregnant mama. Ella likes to help water them, so it's perfect. They perked right up within hours of transplanting them. Oh, and there's a few regular tomato plants currently chilling on the front porch. Eventually I'll need to find some time and umph to get them planted somewhere "real."
Ben colored this in nursery class today. He likes to play with his friend Karsten Jones and Owen Aldridge in there. It can get a little crazy in there and Daddy often stays the first hour of nursery, but he is doing much better and will usually make it through without crying. We feel thankful for his new teacher, Sister Carr. She's made a wonderful difference.
