We stopped by the cemetery in Payson to visit the grave of my brother Al. We miss him so much, but are comforted to know we will see him again one day after this life. And I know that we will be a family forever. The sweet peace that comes from my knowledge of the gospel helps to soften the pain.
Ella and cousins Peter and Luke had a little swim party. Isn't summer fun!?
Lastly, we took a little 3 day family trip up to Yellowstone in July. Brent nor I had been there, so we all had a wonderful time! We saw Old Faithful, played in a lake, and just had a nice time. Thankfully, we didn't encounter any bears the whole trip, phew!
And this (below) is Mommy and little man. He holds a very special place in my heart. It will be interesting to see if we have a baby girl or boy come March, and how it will effect our family dynamics. Ben has been a comfort to my heart this past year, especially as we have traveled a road of many trials, some very personal and unknown to others. I'm learning a lot about faith. And I'm realizing more and more this truth - don't we all go through difficult times and carry secret sorrows? All the more reason to show kindness to every person we meet. I love a quote from our church leader, Elder Richard G. Scott. He said in a recent talk, "Faith is not just push a button and you get the answer." Real faith is so much more. See his full talk here:

Through it all, I know the Lord is guiding our lives, and letting us have experiences that refine us and help us become what He knows is best for us. I know He lives and answers prayers in His perfect timing and cares for each of his children here on this earth. I know He loves us. And His love can change everything.
