Our Little Sweet Pea is here!

Yea! Our precious Ella has arrived! She came on Dec. 1st at 4:56pm. I was very thankful for the epidural after being in labor for 19 ouchy hours before getting to the hospital and then having to wait in the waiting room for another hour to even be checked for admittance. Then we walked some halls, so by the time we got into the room, I was begging for anything to relieve the pain. It took from 10am until 4:15pm for me to dilate from a 4 to a 10. The nurse was shocked when they realized I was a 10 and rushed around to prep. for the grand finale. Brent was amazing during the delivery and helped out with the coaching and everything! He was so brave! I pushed for about 30 minutes before Ella emerged and got an episiotomy towards the end to make room for Ella's head to come out.

We are so grateful for all the love and prayers on our behalf! Ella is a healthy, strong baby. She's doing well with nursing and is also allert and interested in her surroundings. She had an allergic reaction to the eye ointment they applied right after her birth, which has been so sad for us to see. Thankfully, they are healing well now. Just about broke my heart for several days to see them all puffy and red.

Since then, we've all 3 been learning alot together! We work hard to take good care of Baby Ella. And BJ is finishing up some projects for the end of the semester at FSU. He has been absolutly wonderful to help with all the household things and play with Ella. He's the best hubby ever! I love you Honey!
